September was a comparatively quiet month. We didn’t do nearly as much running around as we usually do, but we did have some adventures.
Matthew had a birthday! To celebrate, we spent Labor Day Weekend on the cape with his family where we had a lovely time. Back in the city, I took Matthew out to dinner and to see John Hodgeman perform (it was great, he had a lot of material about the Pioneer Valley, Matthew’s old stomping grounds).

There were a few great nights with friends: we saw the McGarritys a few times, we had dinner with Sean and Marion, we checked out Lawn on D with Karl, and Caroline and Kiyoshi joined us for a night in the Airstream.
My mum adopted a new puppy, Ruby, who is as cute as can be.

I also got a job! I’m going to be doing fee-for-service work a few days a week with a great agency. I love that it’s a flexible schedule, will be great on my resume, and that they are offering truly amazing training opportunities. I’m not crazy about the commute (45min!) or about having to give up all that delicious “funemployment”, but there is always time for what is important, right?

Future-baby is doing great! I’ve been lucky to have really minor symptoms, and we just had our first appointment where we learned that future-baby is really there, where it should be, and alive. So that was great news! Now that I’ve seen a picture of it, it feels much more real and less like something I have to keep telling myself is true. Don’t forget I’ve been posting weekly updates! With pictures of me in my undies! Wheee!
