March has been downright lion-like, to the very end. It was snowing here as recently as Saturday! But it’s okay, because it is melting. We can officially do our dog-walking “patrol” without having to walk in the street to avoid dirty piles of the stuff. It’s wonderful.

Also wonderful: March is Social Work Month! I set some goals for myself at the beginning of the month – namely, to take the next step towards private practice and to find a personal therapist – and I have not accomplished them at all! But I have been working really hard to learn more about myself (exhausting!). I’ve also been enjoying a lot of fun professional and work-related activities: Attending the Boston Foundation Gala with my management team. Going to a Playmakers booster meeting. Watching movies for continuing education credits. Volunteering with my team at one of my favorite agencies, Room to Grow (followed by bowling). Wrapping up the month with a great dinner with the Board of Trustees.

Meanwhile, Matthew and I had some fun. We went to a crazy masquerade ball put on FIGMENT; Matthew was a bee and I was a rainbow (obviously). We saw friends: Matthew went to a concert with Ned, I went to CraftBoston with Rachel and Alex, I celebrated Pi Day with Addie, we had pizza with the McGarritys, we went to a neighbor’s surprise party.

And then! And then! We went to New Orleans on a little vacation! It was good, guys. I’m going to do a post about it. Stay tuned.
Also, I worked on some projects: I finished piecing together a quilt for The Pod, and I bought and repainted a sideboard for our “dining room” to replace the bar.

New sideboard, pre-painting (still in the store, actually) Now it’s gold, and in our house!
